EARNING PASSIVE INCOME WITH GOOGLE ADSENSE

Google is by far inarguably the most used, popular and well-known search engine in the world followed closely by another one of it's products (and the second-largest) search engine on the globe, YouTube. Google has produced many useful tools and products over the years for business and personal use and I am one of the billions who use many of them.
One such tool is Google Adsense and is one that can be quiet useful to anyone who is looking to invest in a form of passive income. Adsense is a business tool created by Google whereby you can earn a little bit of passive income by having adverts approved by Google Adwords displayed on either your website or YouTube videos. Millions of businesses advertise through Google Adwords; another popular and useful business tool by Google where you can set-up ad campaigns and pay Google to display your adverts on the many websites and YouTube Channels that participate in the popular Adsense programme.
However, to be eligible to participate in the Adsense Programme, you must adhere to certain guidelines that are in place for either your website or YouTube channel (or both if you choose to monetizate both). Remember that for either, you must be 18 years or older or have a parent/legal guardian or trusted adult to sign up for Adsense on your behalf, if you are a minor. Also, ensure that you do not post any copyright material that does not belong to you or anything that falls under nudity, explicitly graphic content etc.
If you intend to monetizate your website, you must first ensure that you own the domain and are not using a subdomain. For example, if you have a blog at www.example.wordpress.com, you will not be eligible for the Adsense Monetization Programme; however, if you own a domain for your blog at www.example.co.za, then you are eligible to monetize that. You can purchase domains fairly cheap and most have annual plans, where you can pay for a whole year's subscription to own the domain. Once you purchase it, it's yours, you own it as long as you renew it every year. Another requirement for monetization with a website is that you must have plenty of content and text for them to allow you to place ads on the website, so ensure your site has plenty of useful information, content and text.
For you to monetize your YouTube Channel, your channel has to meet 2 main requirements - you must have at least 1000 subscribers and at least 4000 hours of accumulated watch time within the last 12 months. So, you must have 1000 people subscribed and they must have watched at least 4000 hours worth of your own video content posted on your channel within the last year.
Once you meet the above-mentioned criteria, you can go to your Google search engine, type in Adsense, find the Adsense sign-up option, fill out the online form, copy and paste the link of either your YouTube Channel or website in the required field and submit it for approval. Google will then look over your application, visit your online platform to ensure you meet all the requirements and guidelines, then you will receive an email with a code which you can paste into the backend of your website and now your website or channel can start displaying Google ads.
